Broncos Champions for Charity

Champions For Charity was absolutely amazing night at the Broncos fundraiser on 21st July. Funds raised went towards Broncos Charities and Junior Rugby League development in Queensland. The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre was transformed into a luscious and tropical greenery landscape for the evening which hosted approximately 1000 guests, VIPs, club admin staff, footy fanatics, coaches and the Broncos players! With guests bidding throughout the evening across 153 silent and 20 live auctions, an astonishing amount was raised.

From 6pm to well past midnight, everyone was entertained with live-music, dance routines and the chance to mix and mingle with the entire Broncos team. Many guests had the opportunity to say hello to some of their favourite Broncos personalities and photos, selfies taken with them, before moving to the dance floor later in the evening.

Throughout the evening the players put their best foot forward in helping raise enough money for their charity by taking time to walk around the room and sell the grand raffle tickets among the guests. On offer was an extraordinary $10,000 Individual Jewellery Experience generously sponsored by the amazing Mark Cotterell Master Jeweller. The winner of this prize was lucky enough to walk away with the  opportunity to sit down with Mark to design a commissioned piece of their dreams that reflects their personality, taste and style. Each piece of Mark Cotterell’s jewellery is designed and created with passion and precision to exacting standards and he undoubtedly will create the most memorable and truly personal experience for the individual who was fortuitous enough to walk away with the grand raffle! With such an incredible prize on offer, there were more than a few people in the audience feeling competitive and keen to outbid one another!

There were more than a few items on auction for the night, including: a Tropical North Queensland getaway, a fully catered corporate suite at the Round 24 Broncos v Dragons game, a Hyundai 130 2.0 Active, a once in-a-lifetime tour of Africa, a private Broncos City Cat Charter as well an experience in the Coach’s Box for the duration of a Broncos game!

And just some of the silent auction items bid on by mobile phone were: dining experiences, red carpet event tickets, holiday accommodation, jeweller, advertising packages sports memorabilia and a host of other items.

We are definitely looking forward to next year’s Broncos Champions for Charity gala auction event, and are excited to see how it will be bigger and better than 2017!
